Abstract

|
A case of Leiomyosarcoma of the duodenum was encountered recently at Severance Hospital, Yonsei University, College of Medicine.
The patient had been experienced growing mass on the right upper quadrant of the abdomen for 5 months.
Under the impression of a tumor on the C-loop of the duodenum, the exploratory laparotomy was performed and disclosed bulky mass at the 3rd portion of the duodenum and it was confirmed to be a leiomyosarcoma of the duodenum, which was very rare in the world literatures. This case is thought to represent the first reported case of the primary duodenal Leiomyosarcoma in domestic literature.
